Federal Law
18 U.S.C. § 912 prohibits impersonating a federal officer. Penalties include fines and up to 3 years imprisonment.
Texas Law
TX Penal Code § 37.11 makes impersonating a public servant a felony. Private security personnel must clearly identify their role.
Private Security Regulations
TX Occupations Code Ch. 1702 governs all private security activities. Compliance is mandatory for all licensed personnel.
